Thank You For Contacting Us

Thank you for contacting Rise Law Firm!  We received your message and will respond promptly. Below is what you should expect going forward in our 3-Step Process:

1.     INITIAL RESPONSE:

We’ll do our best to respond to your message within 1-2 business days (excluding holidays), either by email or phone.  Be sure to check your spam/junk folder if you haven’t heard from us in that timeframe as sometimes our emails get stuck in transit.

If we believe we might be able to assist you with representation, a member of our intake staff will contact you to conduct an Intake Interview (described in Step 2 below). There is no charge for the Intake Interview.

We only handle employment law cases on behalf of employees in California, so if you contact us on behalf of an employer, seek advice about a different area of law or your matter involves employment in a state other than California, we likely cannot help. If you haven’t yet been subjected to a wrongful act or you simply have a question but no actual legal case, we unfortunately are also likely unable to assist you. We also generally do not represent employees wanting to sue only individual defendants or very small businesses, due to concerns about collectability of any judgment we might get for you. Finally, if you are owed an amount of money less than $25,000, we likely cannot help you because any case seeking less than that must be filed in small claims court (up to $10,000) or limited civil jurisdiction court ($10,000-$25,000), where we (and most employment lawyers) do not practice.

2. INTAKE INTERVIEW:

During the Intake Interview, you will speak with a member of our non-legal staff.  They are unable to provide legal advice, but they will ask you questions helpful for our legal team to assess the situation and determine whether there is something we can help with. They will also ask you basic background information, including your name, contact information, the employer you are calling about, and how you found out about our firm. Understand that if you are unwilling to provide your name or the name of your employer, we may be unable to help you because we need such information to run a conflicts check. Further, if you insist on speaking to a lawyer and refuse to answer the questions posed by our intake staff, we are likely unable to help you.

If, based on the Intake Interview, the firm still believes we might be able to assist you with representation, our intake staff will set up a Legal Consultation (described in Step 3 below).  There is no charge for the Legal Consultation.

Because of the small size of our firm, **we cannot guarantee a Legal Consultation nor are we able to provide same-day Legal Consultations**, since all of our lawyers are busy, on a daily basis, handling full caseloads.

3. LEGAL CONSULTATION:

During your Legal Consultation, you will speak one-on-one with one of our Firm’s lawyers, typically for 15-30+ minutes. The lawyer with whom you speak will have been briefed by the intake team about your situation, but he or she will not have reviewed any documents you may have provided.  The Firm’s lawyer will provide you with his or her advice on your situation and will discuss with you whether formal legal representation by the Firm is advisable.

If you have any questions about our process or would like to discuss any other matters, feel free to contact us at (310) 728-6588.

Thank you again for contacting us.
