Elissa A. Waizman is an Associate Attorney at Rise Law Firm. Ms. Waizman began her legal journey working as a paralegal in the area of personal injury where she helped advocate for wrongfully injured clients. After working as a paralegal for nearly four years, Ms. Waizman pursued her dream of becoming an attorney by attending Loyola Law School of Los Angeles.

During her time at Loyola, Ms. Waizman dedicated herself to learning about all aspects of employment law. Ms. Waizman gained practical experience in the field, while also pursuing her passion for social justice and equality, by volunteering for the Bet Tzedek Legal Services Employment Rights Project, the Loyola Law School Employment Rights Clinic, the Loyola Law School Workers’ Rights Clinic, and the Loyola Law School Pro Se Advocacy Clinic. Prior to joining Rise Law Firm, Ms. Waizman also interned with Shegerian & Associates, a renowned plaintiffs’ law firm that specializes in all areas of employment law.

As an Associate Attorney at the Firm, Ms. Waizman works closely with the Partners to represent employees who have been wronged in the workplace. Ms. Waizman assists on various employment matters, including claims for harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage and hour violations. Ms. Waizman is dedicated to advocating for those who have been mistreated by their employer and is committed to pursuing the justice they deserve.

In her free time, Ms. Waizman enjoys cooking, traveling, working out, and taking advantage of the beautiful hikes and outdoor activities Los Angeles has to offer.
